Domestic Violence is sadly a reality in many people’s lives, and takes many forms including verbal, physical, psychological and sexual. According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 1 in 6 Australian women, and 1 in 16 Australian men have been subjected, since age 15, to violence by a current or previous partner (ABS 2017b).

To raise further awareness about domestic violence, the Office for Evangelisation has developed a Resource Kit, A Catholic Response to Domestic Violence, which provides clear information around the Church’s teaching for the dignity and value of the human person, and practical steps of response for everyone in the community.  Click here to access the Diocese of Broken Bay's Office for Evangelisation resources.
